Feggy Min, born (1989) and raised in Switzerland, is an independent, self-taught artist/illustrator. Having drawn since a very young age, she developed her own unique art style
over the years, mostly influenced (inspired) by the Hip Hop Scene and the Far East.
In mid 2012 she launched her first, unofficial, handpainted Shirts Collection under the name "W.S.Wtf?!" (Who Said What The F***?!), with the idea and spirit that her artworks should travel all around the world.
In early 2013 she finally started to print her Illustrations on Shirts for a more exact process, and changed the name of her Clothing/Shirt line to "Feggy Min". With the launch of her unique, printed Shirts, the public's interest in her artworks increased and she had her first official exhibition on June 2013 in the cult house "ZEYTHUIS" with her artist friend Judah Huwyler in Switzerland.
Trying to spread her name more in Korea, where most of her Inspirations come from, she held a Launching Party in early August 2013 at club Lucidream in Itaewon, Seoul.
With so many opportunities in the pipeline, Feggy is as independent an artist as ever, and is always working on new things.
Established in 2011, the Society of Young Korean Americans (SYKA) is an organization that encompasses all aspects of Korean culture for young Korean Americans and for all Americans. Aspects of Korean culture include Korean dance, Korean/ Korean American film, Korean music, Korean art, the Korean/ Korean American community, Korean American politics, Korean/ Korean American businesses and corporations, and the Korean language.
The purpose of SYKA is to make young Korean Americans leaders in their communities by helping them develop their skills and talents in any field related to Korean culture or American Society, and to promote Korean culture to all people. The avenue we use consists of education, our weekly events, our written blog, performances, community forums, speaking engagements, and festivals. Through this avenue, we bridge the intergenerational gaps that exist between Korean and Korean American and bridge any barriers between American and Korean.
